About the Orange Nebulae Dice Set
The orange nebulae dice set includes 9 dice total, featuring an additional D20 and D4 beyond the standard 7-piece configuration. That extra D20 and D4 are the norm for all our extended sets. The orange and pink cloud effect was created by injecting pigment directly into clear epoxy resin. The result is a soft, swirling nebulae pattern suspended inside each die. The teal ink on the numbers creates a strong contrast against the warm orange tones. Reading your rolls is quick and effortless, even in low light. This set is a strong proof of concept for future colorful cloud designs.
Epoxy resin is a durable, crystal-clear material used to create handmade dice. It consists of a liquid resin and a hardener that cure into a hard, glass-like substance. Curing typically takes 24 to 72 hours depending on brand and temperature. The material captures fine details and produces sharp edges and smooth surfaces. Makers add pigments, inks, and mica powders to create layered effects inside the dice. Once fully cured, epoxy resin dice are strong, polished, and chip-resistant. They are both beautiful and durable for frequent gameplay.
Handmade dice often feature small quirks that make each set truly unique. Each die is poured, colored, sanded, and polished by hand. Small air bubbles may appear, and colors can swirl in unexpected ways. Temperature and humidity during casting can also affect the final look. These details are not flaws — they are marks of artistry and craft. Every die in this set carries the care and attention of a skilled maker. That human touch is what sets handmade dice apart from factory-produced alternatives.
Well-made handmade dice are balanced for enjoyable gameplay, while also offering unique artistry and character that mass-produced dice can't match. Skilled makers use pressure pots for casting to reduce bubbles. Quality molds keep shapes consistent. Careful sanding and polishing maintain even faces. Experienced makers test their dice before selling.
Tiny air bubbles inside resin, heavy pigments, glitter, or inclusions shifting weight, and slight differences from hand sanding or polishing can cause minor imbalance. These variations are simply part of what makes each piece one of a kind.

Materials
Epoxy resin is a durable, crystal-clear material commonly used to create handmade dice due to its strength, versatility, and ability to display vibrant colors and effects. It is a two-part compound consisting of a liquid resin and a hardener that undergoes polymerization upon mixing. This reaction causes the mixture to cure and solidify into a hard, glass-like substance, typically within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the brand and temperature.
Epoxy resin is valued for its ability to capture fine details and produce sharp edges and smooth surfaces, making it ideal for precision dice molds. Makers often add pigments, alcohol inks, mica powders, glitter, dried flowers, or small objects (called inclusions) to create layered effects or unique designs within the dice. Once fully cured, epoxy resin dice are strong, polished, and chipping-resistant, making them both beautiful and durable for frequent gameplay.
Quirks & Flaws
Quirks & Flaws
Handmade dice often feature small quirks or unique details, a wonderful result of being crafted by hand rather than mass-produced by machines. Each set is poured, colored, sanded, and polished individually, making every die truly one of a kind and full of character.
During resin casting, small air bubbles may become suspended, colors might swirl in unexpected ways, and factors like temperature or humidity can give each die its own distinct look. Hand-finishing adds further personality, resulting in subtle differences in edges, polish, or ink that highlight the maker’s touch.
These special quirks aren’t flaws—they’re marks of artistry that make each die a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art, shaped by real materials and the care of human hands. Owning handmade dice means having a set with its own story, personality, and charm, crafted with passion and attention rather than factory precision.
